COMPAS Poll/Survey

The CEOs and business leaders on the COMPAS business panel are less apt to perceive a decline in healthcare services than they were in 2002 but more impatient of a solution. The impatience with our healthcare system is evidenced in the tenor of remarks and in the size of the growing majority that favours medical freedom, “allowing Canadians [the right] to purchase the services they need in order to control the demand on the government system and increase the amount of money available.” A more than two-thirds majority favours medical freedom today. Among panelists with strong opinions, those who embrace medical freedom outnumber strong opponents by almost 4:1. These are the key findings from this past week’s Internet survey of CEOs and business leaders on the COMPAS panel. The weekly business survey is undertaken for Canadian Business magazine. |
